Way to go, Michael Moore (and volunteers)

I got an email from him this morning:
"This
week, the Motion Picture Association of America, the main federation of
Hollywood's six major studios, posted on their web site a list of what
they believe may the best movie theaters in the world.
And the first one on their list was... the State Theatre of Traverse City, Michigan!
Whoa!
And to top it off, ours was one of only two theaters from the United States to make the list.
Well,
we were speechless. Yes, we've heard numerous directors and actors,
from Wim Wenders and Paul Mazursky to Susan Sarandon and Matthew Modine,
tell us they have not seen anything like the State Theatre in their
travels. Countless other filmmakers have told us, "I've never seen my
film presented and projected this well -- anywhere!" And our answer is
always: "Filmmakers should design the movie theaters. And we believe
hundreds of towns across America have scores of people just like those
in Traverse City who'd eagerly join in to create their own State
Theatre. We deeply thank the MPAA for this honor."
The photo below shows the theatre from a month ago. The movie "Quartet" is probably of interest to Harry Potter fans
