Belatedly Friday Postcard Fish Fry (Postcard Friendship Friday)

I missed a couple of religious holidays last week, and Friday Postcard Fish Fry and Postcard Friendship Friday. but here are some belated entries to catch up.

Below is one of the humorous cards that were so common many decades ago, for Fat Tuesday.
Leve de Vacantie vintage postcard
And for Ash Wednesday, what says ash more than a volcano and an ash-strewn town/

A fish restaurant for the first Friday in Lent. I am not Catholic, but I always enjoy a good fish dinner.

The fellow on the moped seems dressed early 20th Century. So I
checked it out. The 'plus four' trousers and long argyles became the rage after a visit to the US
by Edward, Prince of Wales in 1924.
Popular into the 30s, especially for golfers. (and moped guys)

Helluva shanty! Looks more like a fish mansion to me! (I'll have fries with that, please. Sweet potato fries, if you have them.)
